The Wenchang Space Science Center has reopened to the public for trial operation.

A Rendering of 'Xuntian', also known as the Chinese Space Station Telescope is a planned Chinese space telescope currently under development. Featuring a 2-meter diameter primary mirror and is expected to have a field of view 300–350 times larger than the Hubble Space Telescope. Launching in 2027.

I know George Lucas met with Timothy Zhan and Tom Veitch for these stories. They asked about bringing Vader back, the Empire putting another scary guy in a Vader suit etc. Lucas said no way! But you can bring Palpatine back, that's ok. So, even though some complain, the concept was George's!
