How about BlueSky? We escaped bad algorithms. But what can become the implications of its american ownership and control for European users? Is it becoming relevant to switch platform once more within the same year?

Interesting to use biochar as CO2 sorbent. But if it is adsorbed together with a lot og N2, can you then reach a reasonable CO2 purity during desorption? Or at least during the initial desorption?

They wont expand beoynd future needs (that would be bad business). "Just" reduce the future demand and watch their production shink and phase out...

You are doing the right thing. I try to cut down as well - and work with various technologies to reduce climate change as well. None of them being "enough" on their own.

But I don't follow you blaming "Big Oil" for the populations' fossil consumption.

I agree in a way. But would turn it around. The attempt by your suplliers of oil and plastic to reduce the footprint of your consumption can not be an excuse for you to continue that consumption as usual.

Dont stop saving your fossil consumption becausr of CCS or plastic pyrolysis. Not a bit.

On biochar permanence I find this article using geology methods quite convincing in demonstating that it lasts for many thousands - and in fact hundreds of millons of years. If produced with the right processes doi.org/10.1016/j.co...

Plastic pyrolysis is neither black nor white. It is a recycling technology under development with pros and cons. The one who called it a silvet bullet to fix plastic circularity once and for all was exaggerating a lot. But wait.. who ever did that???

If we should only support initiatives that alone can save the world "enough", we would just have to stop acting.
Please do recognise pyrolysis if it can help the climate. CCS and DAC if it can remove CO2. Reduced flying if it can reduce emissions. Even if it is in itself not enough.

It is not either or. We need all the tools. After we have prevented, reused and improved product design, we still need to handle the rest - unless you prefer to landfill or litter the it. (a hard zero on plastic waste is just a nice dream, I think)
