I agree with you, but as a retired Air Traffic Controller, we work years and train hard to work towards retirement. You leave that job, you aren't trained to do anything different.

As a retired Air Traffic Controller, I can tell you tRump couldn't get certified in a level 1 tower, let alone control a level 5 facility. He doesn't have the aptitude to even understand what it takes to become a certified Controller. I support the sick outs and early retirements 💯.

That airspace is Restricted, it took special orders for aircraft allowed overhead. It was a disgusting display.

Duffy has to be the worst FAA administrator. The FAA consists not only people in the tower, but Approach Controls and Enroute Centers. He doesn't KNOW what makes up the Air Traffic Controller workforce.

I'm shocked the airlines aren't pushing back. Controllers will be forced to slow down air traffic to ensure safety. Imagine what happens if radios aren't working and there's no one to fix it. Confidence in flying is impacted as will those who's lively hood depends on a travelling public.

I'm a retired Air Traffic Controller. NO WAY would I go back when the heads of the agency are so unqualified and vindictive! What a ridiculous post from Musk. Doesn't he realize there is a requirement to stop working airplanes at age 56.
