Story about a good guy trying to help others but it always makes things worse.
He has nothing but good intentions and his judgement on situations is actually pretty insightful and but helping blows up in his face anyways to a comical degree.
By the end of the story he's a sad nihilistic mess.

Sometimes terrible people are able to make genuinely good pieces of media and progressives need to be able to reconcile with that instead of retroactively claiming something was never good in the first place.
