It’s time for Scotland to move beyond the union – and claim our rightful place on the world stage. i🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 It's what you learn after you know it all that counts. 🤔

A referendum Scotland must seek permission to conduct which can, and has been, refused at Westminster's discretion.

If there's a door, it's well and truly locked.

Westminster holds the only key until it decides otherwise.

This is not a fair or equal union.

I personally think it's bloody awful. But like you say- we're a minority.

Never thought I'd see the day when I agreed with this arsehole, but on this specific he has a point. If you're elected from the list, you're elected as a member of a party, not as an individual, unlike a constituency MSP, so if you defect, you should stand down. www.thenational.scot/news/2552023...
Russell Findlay: Holyrood list system ‘unfair’ as defecting MSPs keep seats
THE Scottish Tory leader has suggested MSPs defecting from his party are motivated by “self-interest” and called for Holyrood’s proportional…

even English nationalist sentiments in parties like Labour, Tories or Reform UK do not extend to secession.

I wonder why 🤔

He's not the First list MSP to defect.

20% of overseas aid is allocated to supporting refugees & asylum seekers in UK.

Although classified as overseas aid, these funds stay in the UK.

The UK Government channels these overseas aid contributions to cover the costs of their own Home Office inefficiencies in managing those seeking refuge.

Scotland generates far more electricity than it consumes.

Equivalent to over 100% of its needs from renewables in recent years and exports the surplus, primarily to England and Northern Ireland.
chippyman.bsky.social
Scotland does import electricity, though it is a net exporter overall due to its strong renewable energy production, especially from wind and hydro.

Official data shows that in 2023 Scotland exported 17.7 TWh of electricity while importing 1.8 TWh resulting in net exports of 15.9 TWh.

Voting Reform UK or any other union party at Holyrood next year endangers devolution & Scotland's social progress over the previous 18 yrs.

Farage's 'One Britain' vision threatens Holyrood's powers, it’s existence & our voice.

Protect Scotland’s future and say YES to a majority Indy Party Holyrood

There will be only a couple of constituencies where SNP will mostly likely not win.

Nearer to May 26 I'm certain there will be plenty stats and polls doing the rounds from where we can be slightly more confident where the 1-2 vote will be most effective 👍

Lorna Slater and especially Patrick Harvie were a put-off for me.

Thankfully (in my opinion) they've been replaced as co-convenors with Ross Greer and Gillian Mackay.

Nearer the time you quite rightly need to weigh up your options for what you consider is most likely for your constituency.

I'm pretty certain there will be plenty stats and polls knocking about.

What's crucial is that you cast your second Regional vote for a party or independent candidate supporting independence who has a strong chance of winning the seat.

Otherwise, you'll simply be handing the seat to a Unionist party which is precisely what we aim to prevent.

Then I bid you a good day sir.
