I drew this work about six months ago (even a little more) for a competition. It depicts a legend about the appearance of one place in our region The picture shows a girl holding a rooster and a torch. In the background, a devil is flying, carrying a large stone in his hands. The main colors of the work are blue and red. The legend itself: Once upon a time in those places there lived a peasant who had an incredibly beautiful daughter. The devil noticed her and fell in love. He came to woo her father and threatened that if he did not agree to give up his daughter, everyone would suffer. The peasant did not want to bring trouble, nor give up his daughter. He thought and thought and agreed, but set a condition - to build a stone castle worthy of his daughter before dawn. The devil was delighted, but there was not a single stone in the area, so he had to call his entire retinue. Construction began, the devils dragged huge blocks across the sky. The girl, seeing that they could make it in time, was frightened. Then she went to the chicken coop, took a rooster, brought a burning torch to him, he woke up and crowed. The devils were frightened, the stones fell to the ground and remained there.

Lately I wanted to try pencils in Krita. And today I did it. I wanted something a little distorted, so I took a selfie (the facial features are not mine, but just what came to mind)
And I enjoyed the process so much! I didn't think I missed pencil drawings so much.

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about trying pencils in Crete. And today the stars aligned, I had a couple of hours of free time, which I successfully returned to this sketch. My soul was asking for something small, so for reference I took a crooked photo of myself on my phone camera (the facial features are not mine, but just what came to mind) And I enjoyed the process so much! I didn't think I missed pencil drawings so much. I also didn't think that graphics are still so close to my heart🩶 The result is not perfect, but overall I like it. I plan to go to black and white for some time (and then we'll see), it's not only pleasant, but also does not take much time The picture shows a girl with slightly distorted facial features, as if she was taking a picture with a selfie camera
