The point isn't that we're supposed to believe Luke's story is literary genius and compelling fiction. Lucas instead wants us to be able to think, for a moment, of what Luke and the rest would see and experience. The story is a useful backdrop for context, and not useful as an allegory of history.

OK. What context are you talking about the Marxists in though? Like are you frustrated with online communities or the entire movement throughout all history?
