I had a web API running in Node, it used a LOT of RAM, switched to Deno, it was better, but not much better. So I bought a book to learn Rust, rewrote the whole thing and now latency is halved, memory usage is about 10x less and I also have the automatic benefit of a multi-threaded web api.

I can relate to the feeling. I remember when this happened to me and stopped caring about their hardware when the GameCube was released. I have never felt any excitement for their consoles ever since.
