He had inspectors all over the place. It’s called A Different Kind of War. It’s a discussion of how the sanctions were vicious, brutal, destroying the civilian population while strengthening that dictator. (2/3)

The drug war not only gets rid of the superfluous population, it frightens everybody else. Drugs play a role similar to communism or terrorism, people huddle beneath the umbrella of authority for protection from the menace. (2/2)

But it hasn’t meant that for a hundred years. In fact, what were called the socialist countries were the most anti-socialist systems in the world. Workers had more rights in the United States and England than they had in Russia, and it was somehow still called socialism. (2/2)
