That’s a fig tree root. Our 100 year old “Moreton Bay Fig” fell down recently and has activated the fungi. All those were no more than 10mm across.

CPRS was a dog and deserved to go to hell. Today we would still have 15 years of high emitters essentially unregulated.
So Gillard and the Greens actually talked (listen up Albo) and set a price on Carbon and emissions went down for the first time in history.

I would rather an independent than the 2 old parties, but I do have to question the “following the electorate not a party” line.
We followed the electorate and voted No for a very reasonable question.
The Greens platform is decided by consensus and is progressive and works for all.

*some* independents. I went to a “voices of” event the other day and yes, if I had closed my eyes, the integrity stuff was identical to what I hear at Greens events. So that’s great.
But they have a terrible record on their votes for Palestine and other important social issues.

It takes ordinary people to stand up. I have run three times now for the Greens.
Never for a winnable seat but, I get to 1) speak truth to power 2) inspire and give people hope and 3) look my grandkids in the eye and say I did what I could.
