The generals and admirals need to step up and speak out. The rank and file can’t really refuse orders, but the generals and admirals should, regardless of the ramifications. Usually, they send others to fight, but this is their fight to honor their oaths to the Constitution.

FYI, refusing orders is not a thing in the military. It is assumed an order is lawful when it comes down the chain of command. The refusal needs to come from the top. A refusal would result in extreme punitive repercussions for a military service member. But hey, let’s ask more from them…..
