Geetruida on a permanent has to be a priority doesn’t it? Covers multiple positions to a high level and appears to have bought in already. Worth noting Diarra feel like a new signing when he comes back fully fit. Can’t wait to see what he’s got

Agree with the atmosphere too, felt weirdly flat yesterday. I thought they played us off the park at times and played some of the best footie at the SoL this season. Their goal was excellent. Happily take a point given who we’ve got missing. City has the potential to be bleak. Hopefully not.

At this high of a level, playing Rigg out of position might be doing more harm than good. Not sure what he’s gaining from playing poorly out of position at his age. Especially when we have Mayenda a versatile fast left footer on the bench. We’re so much better when we have pace threat on both sides.

Are all unavailable, is he really going to start Neil after no football all season? If he rated him enough to use him then he would be coming on in games like today. Wonder if his performance at Wembley has spooked him? Thoughts?

IMO RLB doesn’t rate Neil at this level. Very telling he didn’t come on today when Xhaka/Noah came off. He’s played 2 mins in the league all season. With AFCON and suspensions incoming RLB hasn’t tried to integrate him at all. Likely going to be a game in the next month where Xhaka/Diarra/Noah…

James how much, if any, should we read into the fact that Dan Neil is playing the 2nd half of these games? We’re clearly playing a stronger 11 in the first half and he’s not in that? Surely these are games that he could be bedding in with the new lads but atm he isn’t on the pitch with them?

It’s brilliant being linked and signing all these players but the lack of rumours or anything concrete around defensive cover is… concerning? Especially when we already have defensive injuries

James what is your view on ‘sell on fees’. I understand why we will whack them on to all our young players but wouldn’t it be better if they didn’t exist? Why are we giving Man City (Roberts) and Birmingham money when we are doing >90% of the work developing these players. Seems unfair imo

How many of the starting 11 from Saturday do you realistically see starting our first game if everyone is available? Baring in the mind the last team to survive replaced their entire squad and had to cheat to stay up. I love every single one of those lads but some brutal decisions needed I fear…

Our plan/approach has been frustrating over the last few years but it was vindicated yesterday. Some people wanted us to sign Cannon in January. They brought him on in the 90th minute and we still beat them. Could never be us. What a club Haway the lads
