Side note: The Pro still has that coil whine.
It is quieter than on my base PS5, but on games that don‘t always have a lot of loud audio or music playing in the background (Dragon‘s Dogma 2), it‘s noticeable. I sit fairly close to my TV.

The price was only fine to me because I sold my base PS5 and used that money for the Pro. Otherwise, I probably wouldn’t have got it. Again, I don‘t see the need to upgrade unless you fit the description above.
I do have some physical games, so not having a disc drive sucks.

I love playing on console because it‘s just super comfortable and cozy, but most of these games just run better on my current PC build with a 3070. The Pro would probably make console gaming more enjoyable for me. I‘d love to play Dragon‘s Dogma 2 on my big TV.

I‘m also heavily into story based games like Life is Strange, any Telltale game, visual novels like VA-11 HALL-A, darker stories like The Last of Us … it‘s hard to narrow it down.
