Your government doesn’t care about climate change any more than the L/NP does. A few token gestures like battery rebates don’t make up for siding with the fossil fuel industry in every other respect. No climate trigger in proposed environmental protection laws? Weak.

Nobody is being deceived by "almond milk" or "vege burger", though.

(I do agree with you on fake leather, however. Hiding behind relatively opaque terms like "PU" and "faux", knowing very well that a lot of people won't know what they mean, IS deceptive.)

Similarly, nobody is being misled by calling something a vege burger / veggie burger. Nobody who wants a beef burger is accidentally buying a vege burger instead, because it uses the word "burger".

Nobody thinks almond milk or oat milk come from a cow. The people who buy those things specifically want a product that DOESN'T come from a cow.

How is calling something a veggie burger "labeling something as if it's meat"? And why does it matter to you? Is it really the labeling that irritates you, or the existence of vegetarians and vegans?
