It was pretty mild, suddenly had less energy but it was just walking, from a cable car to another lift back in my 20s.

We were staying in Cervinia, Italy (much cheaper) but bought a day pass and skied over the border.

On a side note I've skied Zermatt which was the only time I've felt the impact of altitude #DigiBlogChat

We've reached similar points of view. My reply is more accessible and democratic.

A7. Not sure that's the case. Maybe like punk it's made it more attainable and democratic #DigiBlogChat

Proper old school

So true. Glad I've never had to do online dating although a friend thinks it's amazing you can sort out your social life before breakfast!

A5. Books and Vinyl are so much more tactile and although it's not so convenient I love getting this out and using #DigiBlogChat

A4. Less compression although that's improved, less complicated controls and somehow more character or is that just the effort. Digital has better depth of field, easier sharing, more instant availability and way easier editing (big plus) #DigiBlogChat

Not just me then

A2. Telling the time at a glance is a benefit (analogue) but I like digital bells and whistles like sleep analytics Aesthetics though analogue wins hands down (no jokes intended) #DigiBlogChat

A3. Note to self to re-learn writing by hand #DigiBlogChat

Not much of a twitcher. Random anything and way more out cats. Thinking of a staycation now I've seen a hotel next to a deer park. #DigiBlogChat

I've used Public Records, Army Lists, Census, etc and piecing things together. Strangely I've not used online (or Mormon data) much other than some very specific searches.

The public records office yearly books with varying thickness's listing deaths suddenly became quarterly over the second world war (four books per year) #DigiBlogChat

No one else was interested so it was a short list of one! Before the internet was everywhere it would be libraries and genealogy boards and sometimes writing letters. I'd get easily distracted handling books hundreds of years old.

Lots of born, married, had children and died dates but I've collected some anecdotal knowledge and primary source material

I enjoy the research and trying to add to the information. Super lucky though that a historian checked the Ross-Lewin family tree about 20 years ago sharing their research and I've got details back to about 1600 #DigiBlogChat
