I was thinking about writing to Musk an open letter. He is smart but human. He is redirectable. When I grew up in England everyone had a home, a good free education, enough food, and free healthcare. Taxes were progressive but not high for most. I see why people voted for Trump.

If we were in a democracy we might have a party with a platform to pay off the national debt by taking the billionaires assets (call it a tax). We could leave everyone with a maximum net worth of a few tens of millions and pay the whole thing off. Why pay interest instead of taxing these people?
