Wiping out the Department of Education will make it harder for scores of kids like him to reach their potential and lead their best life, like my husband has. Shame on anyone who thinks the money "saved" by destroying the Department of Education won't hurt anyone.

Then he went to grad school and eventually earned a Doctorate. He is a husband and father, and pastor to a thriving congregation. And I am his proud wife.

They pressed the school administration to put in ramps so he could get around the school building. They taught him to drive and threatened to get a court order when the DMV didn't want to give him a driver's exam. This guy got into the college of his choice and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

They were told to put him in an institution. They ignored that advice, and worked hard to teach him to walk on crutches and learn to do as many things independently as possible. They fought to get him mainstreamed in public school.

I'm hoping that Oprah is regretting bringing this guy onto the national stage. He's a highly educated turd.
