I eagerly second the “newspaper style strips are not lesser” thing.

The fact that I’m making a career pivot away from strips into graphic novels isn’t because I think either format is “better.” It’s just different. But I am enormously proud of my work in the strip medium.

1. I wish people don't dismiss four-panel, newspaper style strips as "lesser". The medium is just as valid as graphic novels.

2. I hate the mentality that comics must be printed in color in order to sell. Like, you guys do know that most mangas are printed in B&W and they sell like hotcakes, right?

A comic of two foxes, one of whom is blue, the other is green. In this one, Blue freezes in terror as a vaguely foxlike abstract figure dashes towards him.
Entity: Cold! Cuddles!
Blue: Aaah! A ghoul!

The entity, which is slowly starting to turn into Green, wraps himself around Blue, who struggles in vain.
Ghoulish Green: Cold! Cold! Cold! Cold!
Blue: Aaaah! You are icy!!!

Accepting his confinement, Blue settles down, sulking as Green slowly and gradually returns to his usual bearing and colour.
Blue: Are you normal now?
Green: Almost.

Recently animated one of the early shots for my new short, The Twig Gatherer. I'm gonna try and clean up the scene in order to test how I want the overall clean up/coloring style of the film to look. Aiming for a semi-Xerox era look, but now's a good time to experiment and play around with options-
