Popping back in here to say I contributed a bunch of picks to this mid-year round-up, including aya, OsamaSon, billy woods, Maria Somerville, MIKE, Los Thuthanaka, Saba & No ID, Niontay, Addison Rae, Carti (yes it’s bloated af but too many great tunes to ignore) and a few others
Lots of my picks went into this list, including Still House Plants, naemi, Charli xcx, Roc Marciano, Kendrick, Moin, Holy Tongue Meets Shackleton, Schoolboy Q, MIKE, Mach-Hommy, Ka – 2024 especially felt like a very good year for great rap records
