I don't really like pictures of me either. I love pictures of my wife, but she doesn't want them on social media.
Where I would struggle is other people taking pictures of her, not showing them. I'd want to be the one behind the camera, no one else. It's just how I am.

Exactly, we can have an attitude to do something, without liking or wanting to do it. Motives are *complicated, myriad and the "why" can be difficult to understand let alone definitively explain. A good article by yourselves that triggered interaction and some interesting replies.

It is. The best example I can give of how my mind works. Discos, parties, watching people having fun dancing can sometimes make me really, really depressed. Sometimes I want to force myself to dance for my wife, but the more I try to force myself the more impossible it becomes.

The best thing is to do what makes you happy. I always need a reason to do something. Yet, if I'm awake I have to be constantly doing something. Being occupied a greater need than being happy. It's why I use S.M. to be occupied. Asking why is my habit.
