Do you watch faceless videos or must you see the creator on camera to enjoy them?

Staying off camera is MUCH easier but I wonder if there is a reason why most successful channels show the person's face more than simple social connection.

Welp this is 23 years old so I started working on what came before it 25 years ago 😬

Surprisingly means very little now, at the time I had friends who thought it was a big break.

Nobody expected clients to prefer chatting with bots instead of hiring me to write books or to code.

Finally managed to make space for this guy.

Doing a test print then I’ll try a mini 2u rack

AMS already jammed naturally as is tradition

Bit of electrical tape and my screen is back in action. Too fragile to be portable now so perhaps time to finally make a case for my PET?

We have 4 cats but my main work colleague is Kara Kitteh the ginger micro-tiger who gets seriously pissed off when I am not at my desk on time <3

#nationalcatday is every day right?

I've started working on my own retro pixel art editor because I needed to generate some BASIC DATA statements and nothing I found worked exactly how I needed 🤓

U64 back on the network, unfortunately using a cable running across the room now my desk is the other side to the network port. Gonna need a bigger cable.

I started working on a map editor for text adventures and dungeons because trying to keep it all organised with scraps of notes and in the code just was not going to work 🤯

As well as a massive collection of “vintage” cables I’ve also amassed a large collection of removable storage.

Some of which works! 💾

CHIP8 project so far

It doesn't look like a lot but this is actual CHIP8 assembled code executing. *Just enough* interpreter to do this, but it is a satisfying result all the same :)

(Image shows my Chip8 interpreter running a .ch8 program that draws a little man on screen)

Lots of people not in the target audience for a subjective piece of art have awful opinions about the art as if their critique is objectively correct.

I got Fabrice Bellard's *amazing* JS Linux working on my web server with a full Linux distro. Yes, Linux in your web browser (even has TCP/IP).

My plan was to run Linux-based development tools such as TRSE, but now I am wondering if I can get Docker or QEMU working on there for VM inception ;)
