This is having negative consequences for both the BBC (eroding trust of people who value it) and the Labour party (anti Labour bias influencing voters).

Why isn't the Labour govt taking urgent action? Surely the RW political appointments of the Tories must be rooted out?

This combined with the appointment of people like Robbie Gibb has led to a failure by BBC news to adequately scrutinise the failures and scandals of the Tories, Farage, Trump and Brexit.

Conversely BBC journalists go after Labour relentlessly for issues that seem almost trivial in comparison.

Also It's notable that Kuenssberg pushes a favourite trope of the BBC that scrapping the 2 child benefit is about prioritising Lab MPs over the interests of the country.

FFS! Investing in kids should make us all happy. We all benefit from a stronger economy and better society. Grrrrr.

Rant over!

The scrapping of the 2 child benefit cap restores barely subsistence level of benefits to families with more than 2 children. It's rather disingenuous calling this "extra benefits".

The BBC keep telling us that 59% of voters support retaining the cap.
I wonder why that figure is so high?
