Only for dual channel, but they're usually alternating slots. So the original sticks go in slot 0 and 2, and the new set goes in 1 and 3. It varies though, check the manual!

👀 if it's dual channel, don't forget to make sure they're in the right order. Has definitely tripped me up a few times
