The whole "he's secretly metal" thing might have me biased, but is there anyone more thrillingly creative in jazz right now than Tigran Hamasyan? His live show just blew the lid off the Barbican - stunning piano chops, insane polyrhythmic creativity, and shattering djent breakdowns. Astounding.
