Paul Kingsnorth’s book Against The Machine is the most thought-provoking thing I’ve read in a good while.

After doing a more modern music-themed piece for my most recent cross-stitch, I’ve decided that mid-century modern album art is my sweet spot. Just finished the pattern for my next one, based on this cover. Need to pick up a couple thread colors tomorrow.

Well that was a beautiful morning for a run. Maybe could’ve pushed my pace a little harder but I went into it saying I’d be happy if I ran consistent 9’s and I did!

Wow, so is Fastmail’s web interface hosed up this morning for everyone else, or is it just me?
Read emails aren’t visible in the web view. A check box shows up so that you know there’s logically something there, but it’s not visible or selectable.

Rarely do I see a new (to me, at least) meme that hits so close.

My daughter has Wimbledon on and with Andrei Rublev playing I am thinking we need more professional athletes named for historical artists. Let’s have Rublev facing Pietro Cavallini or maybe the Limbourg Brothers playing doubles!

Dunno if it was the slightly cooler temps or eating a banana before heading out, but that was a really solid run. Got to 4 miles in under 35 minutes! Pretty sure that’s a PR for me at 4 miles. 5k split was right at 26:00.
