err I couldn't quote the article if I hadn't read it? I agree your X post is more nuanced but I hadn't seen that - and you still quote "Labour insider" analysis uncritically even though you don't seem to agree with it?

Labour didn't lose because of tactical mistakes the "insiders" would have you believe; they lost because their support collapsed over a longer period. Plaid would be amused to hear they had an airwar game during the election. They have one now because they won Caerphilly 2/2

Can’t help thinking @bwalker.uk might understand what happened in Caerphilly a little better if he just looked at the Welsh polls before and during the by-election and did a little less listening to “Labour insiders” who never showed any interest in understanding what was happening locally.

This has to be one of the most thin skinned and naive takes I’ve heard from a public figure. Just wait until March and April, Betsi will be being kicked from Aberdarron to Wrexham….

There’s a lot of other people that would worry me more than these guys (who are mostly looking at where they park their floating wind farms rather than their tanks)

I suppose it shouldn’t be surprising that a government which came into office with no real idea of what it was going to do doesn’t want to think more than a week ahead. Shockingly irresponsible though
