Thanks, Margaret. I think there is something missing from the article!

Hi Margaret, thank you for sharing this story. May I ask: on what basis is Ancestry demanding access to the records gratis?
chrislangley.bsky.social
This is such a big step for you, but I know few other people that would represent people with such compassion and respect. And, as we all see around us, those are two values that we should promote more than anything else whatever our political views.

Good luck and soak up the experience!

Peter, we need voices like yours to articulate clearly the risks of this sort of thing. It’s bloody disheartening but we need people who can argue against the marketing BS & the endless parroting of Venture Capital talking points by elected leaders

The latest special issue of @scottishhistreview.bsky.social, on Scotland's Environmental History, is out!

Thanks to the guest editors, Rebecca Main, Richard Oram & Annie Tindley, for their fantastic work.

Read the issue on the @edinburghup.bsky.social website: www.euppublishing.com/toc/shr/104/2

Rubio furiously doodling…

Thought you might be hiding from the Forest chairman?!

Fantastic to get my hands on the physical copies of the latest issue of "The Historian" @histassoc.bsky.social!

It was a pleasure to work with my @openarc.bsky.social colleagues Dr Charlotte Brownhill & Dr Sara Wolfson on this special issue to mark the 400th anniversary of Charles I's accession.
The front cover of "The Historian" Magazine. The top of the page includes a bright blue header with the title of the managzine. The bottom four fifths of the cover are dominated by a portrait of Charles I.

That sounds ominous! I look forward to finding out what you have planned!

Sad it isn't a story but we're now numb to voter apathy in LE elections. Is the average turnout in local authority and mayoral elections in England for the past few elections about 33%?
chrislangley.bsky.social
Fantastic visualisation! Where are you going to go with it next?
chrislangley.bsky.social
This is a bit hyperbolic but I despise that piece of software. You've given me another reason to dislike it!

So long as you don't need serious annotation functions, try Okular by KDE. Good performance, open source and no machine learning bloat.

Oh my word. Is this message in Adobe Acrobat Reader, Peter?

That staircase…

Hope it’s a productive stay for you!

You've been to my papers, haven't you...

The proofs for the next issue of The Historian (@histassoc.bsky.social) have arrived!

It has been a pleasure to work with my OU colleagues Charlotte Brownhill & Sara Wolfson on this issue on the life and legacy of Charles I.

Thank you, Jenni Hyde for the opportunity! @wallyberry.bsky.social
A two-page magazine spread. It contains two pictures: one of a Church in Scotland. Another of the frontispiece of a seventeenth-century printed text. The rest of the page contains text.

An appropriate typo, but a typo nonetheless! Congratulations, Amy!

Try UBlock Origin on your browser. Works wonders for other sites so might help: plus free and open source

I'm already imagining possible titles for your next article!
