"Follow me," the sky said. "I've got things to show you." We dropped our luggage and tried to keep up with her. She was too fast for us. We soon had to stop. She looked disappointed, but then she said, "Hold still and raise your arms. I will pick you up."

Happy #Sunday. Take some time to stop and do nothing. No running, cleaning, cooking, shouting, meditating, just nothing. It's worth it, honestly. If it's too late for this Sunday, be sure to schedule #time soon for doing nothing at all on your calendar. #DoNothing #Recover #Rest #SilentSunday

Noticed this in our Seattle neighborhood, no idea who's behind it. It won't do any harm and maybe annoy the neighbors, but as regards regime change, it won't accomplish anything, just maybe a little relief. It will be some time before "the madness stops".

Went to our 1st "classical" concert since February 2020. In Benaroya Hall in #Seattle, Ludovic #Morlot conducted pieces by #Ravel & premiered a beautiful new composition by Allison Loggins-Hall, "Rhapsody on a Theme by Joni for Solo Flute and Orchestra." #SSO #SeattleSymphony #classicalmusic #music

Greetings from the #NoKings rally and demonstration in #Seattle today. A large, friendly, mostly youthful crowd turned out. Maybe one of the last occasions to make our voices heard before the lights go out in #America. I hope it made an impact. #savedemocracy #freedom #nohumanisillegal #endfascism

This 'fork in the road' is still available on a pole near Madison & 19th Avenue in #Seattle. Make it yours! Isn't it time to set out in a new direction, create some new experiences, expand the horizon of who you are? Go for it!

Planning a little traveling this summer? Here's a fine article about a certain low-cost airline you might want to be aware of and stay away from.

This summer, don't fly deportation airlines
A small airline is helping ICE carry out cruel deportations.

Happy #Caturday! Here's a very rare and valuable double portrait of Michel (up) and Giovanni (down). The position on top of the piled-up old comforter tends to be hotly contested. #LifebetterwithCat #BlueskyCats

The Lemoine Studios inmates are back in their usual habitat, but still grateful their #Brussels Airbnb came with Baboune, the owner's friendly #cat, who visited many times because the apartment was part of the territory for which he is responsible. Happy #Caturday! #lifebetterwithcat #BlueskyCats

A wild wall lit up in a fairly dark corridor by the Leopold Park near the European parliament in #Brussels, and minutes later that we saw a lovely passage to an inviting street to explore another time, not today. #walkingheals #urbanhiking #Bruxelles #Belgium #Belgique #travel #art #wallart

An excursion to splendid, but over-touristed #Anvers or #Antwerpen. #City is gorgeous, sparkly in a way #Brussels is not. Amazing what #colonialism, subjugating parts of a continent, robbing its diamonds & other treasures, was able to accomplish. #architecture #travel #Belgique #Belgium #urbanhiking

Wandering around in Ixelles, we came to one of the best pieces of wall art ever seen by my eyes, at Chaussée d’Ixelles and Rue Maes. I like how it takes advantage of the shape of the building. Look at it on a large screen. #art #wallart #Bruxelles #Brussels #Belgium #Belgique #walkingheals #travel

Evening in the Châtelain district of Ixelles, the part of #Brussels where we're staying. People are enjoying what feels like a June day, sitting outside to socialize or eat and drink. Sunday night doesn't often feel this serene. #Bruxelles #Belgium #Belgique #travel #Sunday #walkingheals

One of my alltime favorite things in #Paris is this sculpture of smiling LaFontaine from 1983, near the little Ranelagh neighborhood in the northwest. I don't know the fables of his that feature the raven, coin, and fox, but love to see them. #art #travel #sculpture #walkingheals #France #fox #raven
