Is it just me or are many people misinterpreting what he said? Pretty clear his point was about relative desirability (considering cost/time/hassle/etc) and not strictly cost. How much energy are you investing to replicate a halal cart meal?

Still reasonable to dispute that take of course...

I don't question the core premise of the article. But list price shouldn't be confused for some iron measure of value. In our market it was widely known for years that sellers expected offers above listing. Possible that prices are also adjusting to those expectations.

Our adversaries now could easily be called the "fossil power" or "fossil capital." I think it's helpful to think that way. ICE raids and climate change are in some sense different issues, but both perpetrated by the agents of fossil power...

I think we can learn a lot from the abolitionists who talked about the "slave power." As I understand it, the term meant to convey that abolitionists were fighting not just a set of individual slaveowners, but a power structure that had tentacles spread throughout..

"Ability to be moderate" -> essentially meaning general good judgment when it comes to health? Or do you mean there are other, specific confounders producing this result?
