Re-reading “La peste” for the first time since high school (because my daughter is now reading it in high school). It’s more interesting now, post pandemic. I probably should have read it during COVID. It helps make sense of things that were swirling around in my head.

So I'm watching the release of Israeli soldiers held by Hamas live. As someone who has lived in Jerusalem and has been to Gaza many times, all I feel is anger at the thought that this ceasefire will not hold because some "people" (actually monsters) don't want peace.
