really hoping it has a hard mode and does something interesting with the time completion thing but I like the idea of balancing two things at once and what situations that could make

not to mention questionable sequels to ongoing series that feel like they are trying to catch some former glory that they probably aren’t going to regain anytime soon if they keep going

still think there’s nothing wrong with having these titles be more accessible to people that don’t want to go through other means to get them but I can’t shake a rosy perception people have with game series to constantly keep going and returning past the point of exhaustion

having the same feeling with the constant demands for more Dino Crisis, BoF and even Mega Man like it’s still the late 90s and not 2025 where most of the staff has changed and moved onto other projects they want to do

scrolling through a reddit post on capcom’s investment in different series and many of the top posts are asking for a DMC 1 remake even tho it’s still accessible even with the scuffed port job lol

ultimately prime 4 is like run of the mid prime gaming than anything offensive. really the bigger shock is that retro is apparently doing another trilogy after how hasty the original one went

even the bike didn’t really have much going on besides some awkward combat moments. kinda screams Sonic 06 vehicles with better physics (and similarly dreadful hub worlds)

prime 3 similarly had stuff to show off the motion tech like jerking the mote to open doors or something lmao and a good chunk of prime 4’s is like drawing lines and basic swapping

Has to be a bit going on with Retro but they’re apparently making more prime games after this??

really want to know what happened in this game’s development that led to things like creating a ratchet & clank 2 desert but blown up like triple the size

nothing burger linear corridors, nonexistent puzzle solving and interconnectivity, yapping, goofy and underwhelming new mechanics, the writing
