A little peek behind the scenes for the process geeks.

Here are some early ideas and sketches that led to the final piece for Gallery1988’s exhibit, 30 Years of Pokémon, opening tomorrow 02/10/26.

BIG NEWS! I’m beyond excited to share that I’ll have my first-ever piece with Gallery1988. Even better? It’s for their #Pokémon show, 30 Years of Pokémon, a franchise that means so much to me.

It’s been a minute 👋

Revisiting my Final Fantasy VII sticker set from a few years back while I’ve been diving into FFVII Remake again.

Anyone else playing this for the first time or double dipped like I did?

While I love my Switch 2, it has left me missing the old, pocketable handhelds lately. So I dug up my GBA SP, DS Lite, and 3DS and I’m ready to dive back into some games I missed on these systems. I can’t wait! Any gamers out there miss the smaller handhelds also?

This made my day. My “X of Hearts” artwork is now a tattoo on someone’s arm. A first for me and I’m incredibly stoked and honored. ❌♥️

This year's theme is ADAPT. It’s applying 2025’s lessons and adapting to this new normal in my career, including both my freelance work and my print and sticker business. It feels like the right theme for this year. I sense a few changes ahead and I can’t wait! Let’s go!

It’s #ArtVsArtist time! This year, I feel like I found my groove in terms of both my aesthetic and what I enjoy illustrating, especially with my 3x3 Collection line.

The work is mysterious and important.

It’s been a busy month! Wanted to share this 3x3 MDR art piece that debuted at SDCC this year. Love this show and I’m looking forward to watching it all over again.

Gotham GT: Into the Knight made its debut at @patrickballestart.bsky.social’s REV-ember holiday market and art show. HUGE thanks to everyone who came out and supported the vendors and the artists who had their work on display.

I love Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water. I recently rediscovered a sketchbook piece I did of the Amphibian Man/The Asset (played by the wonderful Doug Jones) from 8 years ago. With del Toro’s Frankenstein now out, it felt like the perfect time to share this watercolor piece again.

Tread lightly.

This is another tease for my brand-new piece debuting at @patrickballesteros.bsky.social REV-ember holiday market and art show. See the entire piece only at Tito Rick’s Garage!

It’s #WonderWomanWednesday, so here’s a 3x3 Wonder Woman piece I’ve never shared anywhere but my newsletter. It was a commissioned gift, and an absolute WONDER to create. Yeah, I said that.

I’m so excited about today’s #TheLegendOfZelda news! Think we’ll get a scene like this now that it’s going realistic? 😂

This one’s an archived print of mine (and one of my more dumber ones).

The Ghost of Sparta still rages on!

To celebrate God of War’s 20th anniversary earlier this year, I created this Kratos 3x3 piece for SDCC in July. As someone who’s been a fan since the very first game, this one was so much fun to work on.

Original sold.

Tiny art, big adventure.

This was my 3x3 take on Indiana Jones and the iconic boulder chase from Raiders of the Lost Ark. I had so much fun working on this.

The 3x3 piece I almost kept for myself!

This Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender just flowed and everything came together perfectly. Whoever owns it now, I hope you love it as much as I did creating it.

#Inktober 30/31: Vacant
Fun fact: This was inspired by a house that I used to walk by every day going to and from work. It was both creepy and fascinating.
