It will always baffle me how easily people will believe that the poor, the sick, the marginalized, and the immigrant are the cause of all their problems, rather than the people in the most powerful positions in their country who refuse to fix problems and exploit them instead.

Found my grandfather’s certificate of citizenship today. Literally shaking when I saw the date. March 22. So what? 64 years later on that date, and just a two hour drive from where his mother brought him across, Mason was born. Unbelievable.

One of the greatest deceptions of our time is the false narrative that we should be more concerned about a poor person misusing the welfare system or an immigrant being here illegally than we are about the ultra wealthy abusing the system and cruel people having unchecked power over all of us.

As a parent of two kids with special needs, I'm pretty damn excited to know that a racist billionaire who routinely uses the slur "r*tards" is destroying the federal department that's a bulwark for special education and support for disabled children.

It is quite the fragile god who needs political power to preserve and enforce their will.
