As someone who enjoyed The Steel Remains back in the day, I'll note that Morgan is straight (and you can tell), the sex scenes aren't very erotic, and he's at least TERF-sympathetic, regretfully.

I keep reading her books and keep having this reaction. She picks big, interesting ideas and themes that get me really excited, and then I read them and get the sense that she never really had anything much to say.

Although I'll concede it's *quite* funny in the Year of Our Lord 2025 to see a twink on TV say "If you want to get me pregnant, you're going to have to work a bit harder at your homework, daddy."
