It was created in part because Scotland bankrupted itself with its own attempt at colonialism. I doubt many Brits nowadays have an Empire mindset as that generation are passing. It’s more of a little England mindset that is the problem.

Labour have been given a poisoned chalice by the Tories and now they moan when Labour don’t get everything right. I remember Labour were being blamed by the Tories for at least a decade after they last left power. Labour have made plenty of mistakes but any complaints by the Tories is a bit rich.

The Tories broke plenty of manifesto pledges repeatedly through their 14 years of chaos. Labour were stupid to box themselves in over tax due to Tories pushing them to do so and they fell for the trap.

The union was created in 1707 when the Empire was small. No reason why the UK should split any more than most other European countries who have much shorter histories as nations than our own. The UK should be federal and completely change how parliament and the two houses operate and represent.

Then proper journalists need to come at him from multiple angles. A real grilling on Russia, why his party seems to attract traitors and why he was on Russia Today quite so much. And then also on his and his party’s finances. Did he profit from Brexit by shorting the Pound etc

I think that is why is was so terrified during the early stages of the pandemic. It was because I knew Johnson was about the worst possible person to have in charge at the time. On a par with Trump.

Travellers returning could have been put in isolation hotels for 3 weeks, only locking down a few people rather than the whole population.Lorry drivers to and from the continent could have also been on double pay and also put up in hotels. We could have avoided lockdown completely if done right

Totally. We locked our family down almost 2 weeks beforehand. I bought my first facemask in January. How come I could work it out better than the UK government and the idiot Johnson. We also should have closed our borders to China immediately and totally in feb. Could have been like NZ or Aus.
