I got disabled 8+ years ago, forced to lie down all day. Went deep into Destiny. I feel you: I got a half dozen homies who would stop what they’re doing to help, and vice versa, because we spent time together shooting aliens in the head.

One called 911 from 1500 miles away the day I died. He knew.

Used to be a “speed trap” on the KI end of the bridge; it was a 350lb local cop who just sat there eating powdered donuts and sleeping. He’d only wake to go to the gas station on Rt. 8, to get more donuts, his uniform covered in sugar. Not kidding.

Maybe the Osprey was buzzing him to wake him up.

Kinda. There’s a road where all the houses have big garages for small personal aircraft, and behind them is a grass strip for takeoff and landing. But it’s certainly not an airport by any means.

I grew up building hot rods and old Harleys and used to be editor of one of the finest automotive magazines on this earth.

I would love for my city to be free of cars, save hobbiests in lowriders and old loud fun stuff, and like first responders and deliveries and taxis.
