"A Rage of Souls is Chris Nickson at his best – complex, compelling and, above all. compassionate." How's that for the conclusion of a review? Why not read the whole thing and maybe it will persuade you to buy the book (hint: you should).

A RAGE OF SOULS . . . Between the covers
This begins as one of the most baffling and impenetrable of Simon Westow’s cases. We are in Leeds, 1826. He solves a case of fraud, the fraudster is sentence to hang, but reprieved. He then r…

Thank you all so much for giving A Rage of Souls a big publication day boost yesterday. If you keep on buying it, maybe it can leap all the way to the best seller list. Are you game? Yes? Then you know what to do.

Good afternoon/morning/whatever it is where you are. A Rage Of Souls is published today, and Society 19 kindly interviewed me about it (and a couple of other projects that have been hush-hush until now).
Have a read. Order the book..

Indulge me, please (after all, it's my publication day). We writers sweat and fret and dream, , and with the help of our editors and publishers, launch it into the world. Sometimes, not often, we'll get a review like this and know it's all worthwhile.

Happy publication day to...me. I know it won't sell as many as Taylor Swift's new album, but if you're kind enough to buy a copy (independent bookseller are ALWAYS best), we can make the charts.
You know the drill by now. Thank you all so much - enjoy.

That little Bobby Jenrick, he's a proper Daily Fail racist, isn't he? Anything for attention and power, playing on pathetic fears and images of a country than changed long before he was born. What next, the great replacement theory?
Away with you, you tiny corrupt turd.

Question what they tell you. Don't just accept.

Seems to me that we shouldn't be trying to deport people who braved dangers were can't imagine to come here for a better life. We should probably kick out those who stash their money in tax havens. Let them go and join it unless they pay their tax here.

A Rage Of Souls is released into the world tomorrow. I would be very grateful if you took a look at it. Even more if you bought it, or asked your library to do it.

Reform is anguished as much of Farage's security detail has been defuned, and they claim in the wake of the Kirk shooting in the US, itr's dangerous. Guns aren't widespread here, thank God. Most people here hadn't heard of Kirk. Do they think Nigel might be assassinated by milkshake?

Current read: A Rage of Souls by @chrisnickson2.bsky.social Simon Westow is a thieftaker in early 19th Century Leeds. I received my copy yesterday so put aside all other books to start this - Nickson’s stories are that good. Nothing like a book in your hands and starting a good mystery!
