I didn’t think you could keep your .social handle. I switched to my domain early on, and I don’t know if my old handle or profile URL ever redirected to my new one.

I’ve seen a couple of his interviews, and he some of his answers to questions are literally quotes from the book, but I feel like those interviews focus more on what enshittification is than the details of how and why it happens or what to do about.

I worry about Bluesky’s recent announcement about messing with algorithms, but I think it’s just for Discover feed, which I’ve never found that useful for discovery anyway.

To keep people “engaged” on a platform as long as possible so they see as many ads as possible, probably by prioritizing the kinds of posts they’ve seen keep people hooked the longest.

I think directing people to artists’ websites is a better approach.

That’s a battle you won’t win. Instagram is hopelessly enshittified, and the algorithm isn’t there to help your followers see what you post.
