Nearly finished Sunbringer by Hannah Kaner, second in a fantasy trilogy, and very enjoyable, though slower than the first.

It turned colder in the UK about a week ago and I wanted to get the autumn decorations out this weekend, but my husband wants to wait until September. Definitely feels like the year has turned.

My parents always said garlic water worked, and so we put two bulbs of garlic chopped in half in the watering can and watered for a couple of weeks and that worked. You need to leave the watering can outside though as it starts to smell very garlicy after a couple of days.

Thanks, I can look into this with PGS from my Diocese. It used to be that you needed to have a Title for HMRC to claim Gift Aid, but I had a quick look tonight and they seem to have removed that requirement (it may be in small print so will check properly next week), so it may be a hangover of that.
