My home screen has changed a lot. I'm now back to using stock icons in their large size with automatic dark mode. I use Ivory for both Mastodon and Bluesky—the only social media sites I remain active on. And I've switched to Apple Podcasts from Pocket Casts as I move away from Automattic's products.

I watched 119 new-to-me movies in 2024, of which Perfect Days was my favorite.

I generally consider myself an "AI skeptic", but I tried Windsurf last week and was blown away. I used it to help me write a script to automate my end-of-year movie round-up posts since Letterboxd does not provide a public API. The results (and experience) were both impressive and somewhat scary

I changed my avatar background color to purple for Mastodon and blue for Bluesky so that I can more easily tell which account I'm looking at in Ivory

Last week I launched an update to my site that migrated it from WordPress and custom PHP to Eleventy (and a tiny amount of custom PHP). I think I have all the kinks worked out now and plan to write a few posts about the process and how it's all working
