Simple explanation for the ratings is a balance of classics-meeting-creativity with an emphasis on my own listen-ability / repeat interest.

Ex: I love Louis Armstrong and can picture my grandfather listening to these songs, but it’s a compilation with many non-standards, cutting the score. #jazz

Believe it or not, I’m listening to it now! Ha! On Christmas Oratorio. It’s been years since I’ve played it through, and it a very Flecktones holiday trek. Pushing my concepts of some of these tunes. Mostly all in a good way.
