Proud to stand with Texas Democratic legislators and over a hundred others from across the nation at the State House in Boston to defend the ideals of American Democracy. That our voters’ districts can’t be redrawn illegally to drown out Democratic & People of Color’s voices. When we fight, we win!

I am so proud of and grateful for our amazing #recovery community and champions in King County. They are saving lives and giving hope to those most in need. What an honor to be part of this event and to be able to share my own story of recovery with others.

“'The value of that cross-party relationship building is that ultimately it makes each of us feel valued...' said Rep. Chris Stearns, D-Auburn."
When we build these friendships, when we ask each other how we're doing, we show that we value each other.

It was an honor to gavel us out of Session, #SineDie. The past session was challenging, heartbreaking, chaotic & sometimes thrilling. Looking out over the House floor each day reminds me that we all have an incredible amount of humanity, potential, kindness & capacity to grow with one other. #waleg

I'm proud that WA Gov. Ferguson signed my Bill, HB 1461, to increase State support for our future energy needs - including advanced #nuclear - by making sure our agencies are empowered to respond to changing markets when constructing new power generating plants.

On the Capitol’s 4th floor the hallways are lined with class portraits of House members going back generations and Frank’s portrait, as Speaker of the House, is there in the center of so many of them. His mission lives on in the House chamber: to make our world a more bearable place.

Great to see our amazing Senator Patty Murray today in caucus and on the House floor. She’s fighting the good fight. ✊

I cannot say enough about how great I feel about our future now that it is in the hands of these incredible young #indigenous leaders who visited us in the Capitol as part of the Native Vote Washington, Native Action Network, and NAYA Action Fund legislative day on the Hill.

Bobby Kennedy said that #MLK "dedicated his life to love and to justice between fellow human beings. He died in the cause of that effort. In this difficult day, in this difficult time for the United States, it’s perhaps well to ask what kind of a nation we are & what direction we want to move in.”

As we celebrate 50 years of the Indian Self-Determination Act, let’s also remember back in 1968, President Lyndon Johnson proposed to Congress in a Special Message “a policy of maximum choice for the American Indian: a policy expressed in programs of self-help, self-development, self-determination.”

"Our future may lie beyond our vision, but it is not completely beyond our control. It is the shaping impulse of America that neither fate nor nature nor the irresistible tides of history, but the work of our own hands, matched to reason & principle, that will determine our destiny.” - RFK (1966)
