Wishing all of our members, businesses, artists & groups a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2026! Local businesses in #Southampton are for life and not just Christmas. Many are finding it challenging to stay afloat so please keep supporting them so they're still there for us next Christmas 💖🎄🌟

Here's a map of station accessibility in the #Southampton area, created both as a guide for people with accessibility needs, and as a demonstration as to how ridiculous the situation is. For some stations, making the opposite platform accessible is as simple as putting a hole in a fence!

Great news that 24/7 "nightstar" bus services to Lordshill, Millbrook, Shirley, Southampton General, Woolston, Weston, Portswood, Swaythling and Bitterne begin on Sunday. For the first time, #Southampton has a comprehensive through-the-night bus service, offering a safe journey home for everyone.

Why haven't the BBC Verify "fact checkers" mentioned the impact of leaving the #ECHR on our relationship with Europe (no extradition of criminals, leaving the Council of Europe, no free trade agreement, breaking the Good Friday Agreement), let alone our human rights?

Thomas Lewis Way isn't very pleasant to cross - it's a common pedestrian route for school children, people walking dogs,& people going to the shops. I propose we focus on the southern leg and make it more desirable for everyone to use. What are your thoughts? Should the council do this? #southampton

99% of pedestrian deaths are caused by motor vehicle. Today the BBC says that deaths with speed as a contributing factor are at a decade long high with 314 in the UK this year. I haven't seen a single speed operation in #Southampton in what must be the last decade @hampshirepolice.bsky.social

this is incredible stuff. most state DOTs would spend tens of billions on highway expansions to try and see numbers like this (that wouldn’t even pan out anyway thanks to induced demand lol)
