My math was wrong here ... WMU still has a three-score lead, just barely. Still, weird call imo.

Which is to say ... weird decision! A FG makes it a three-score game, while a TD still makes it a three-score game. But it's now a two-score game after the TOD.
Maybe WMU just doesn't respect Miami's offense right now?

Meanwhile, WMU has the easier defensive assignment with Miami QB Thomas Gotkowski very much looking like a third stringer, going 7-for-15 and being outgained through the air by a run-first QB in Lowry.
Things could flip if Miami can get the run game going, however.
