I attended the parliamentary press gallery event and met former Conservative PM Joe Clark, former Environment Minister Stephen Guilbeault and MP Bruce Fanjoy who defeated Pierre Poilievre.
In these dark times, we need to work together across party lines to build a better Canada.

So- yes, Hadju used her powers as minister to order AC workers back to work but people skip the part where the tool used was “binding arbitration”. This means a neutral 3rd party like a judge will hear both sides and they are both bound by their decision which ~could~ be in favour of the union.

Pierre Poilievre is running in the Alberta riding of Battle River—Crowfoot. It would be nice if he lost tomorrow, but that riding is so Conservative that voters would elect a toilet seat if it were Tory blue.

Don’t let PP win because of vote splitting! Bonnie is the most likely candidate to beat him, but only if the vote isn’t split amongst other parties. Vote strategically. Vote PP out! Vote for the best candidate to represent BR-C! Vote🗳️

Trump didn’t drop the 51st state talk out of respect—he did it to protect Poilievre. He knows Canadians aren’t buying MAGA North, so he’s dialing it down to help his guy.

Don’t be fooled.

The alliance is still there.

The Charter of Rights and Freedoms is the embodiment of our principles and our aspirations as Canadians.

It must be protected — not wielded for political gain.

Forty-three years on, the Charter remains strong — and it’s on all of us to defend it.

🍁 If we lose the CBC, we lose a piece of Canada.

A new article lays it out clearly: in a world flooded with U.S. media, disappearing local news, and growing misinformation, the CBC remains one of the few places that still sounds, looks, and feels like home.

CBC/Radio-Canada is a pillar of our Canadian identity.

We’re going to strengthen our public broadcaster with more long-term funding, and a modernized mandate — to deliver more local news and keep Canadians better informed during emergencies.
