Happy to say that the proposed closure will not be going ahead as proposed. The Department will remain, albeit with some changes. I rapidly realised that for many of you, this will be what you wanted to see. Huge thanks to all supporters!

On October 22nd, without warning, we were emailed about this. The proposal will go to our University Council on 20th November. Please sign the petition (661 signatures now) and please write to the Vice-Chancellor, Robert van de Noort ([email protected]).

The last thing #Farage wants is a stop to the small boats. They are his passport to wealth on his gravy train of hate and divisiveness. He caused this problem by pulling us out of the Dublin agreement with his #Brexit

Ed Davey, "I'm afraid Nigel Farage should be apologising for helping cause this problem in the first place"

The Brexit effect is clear and obvious

The Farage boats

Or Brexit boats

Both seem appropriate

This is what Farage's Brexit did to the figures for migrants arriving in small boats. Before Brexit there was a negligible amount. Farage told us it would be controlled by Brexit.
Farage, the root cause of all this, is apparently the most popular political leader in the UK right now???

Starmer: “Controlling migration is a reasonable goal- but if you throw bricks and smash up private property that is thuggery…if you incite violence that’s criminal…if you graffiti on a Chinese takeaway telling them to go home, that’s not pride that’s racism.”

One of the biggest topics of discussion at #LDConf has been the threat from Reform and how we fight back.

The depressing spectacle of the Conservatives' capitulation to the populist right, and Labour's equivocation, means it falls to the Lib Dems to lead the charge against Farage. And we will! 💪🏻🔶
