As in human societies, the transmission of knowledge is vital to animal cultures. The endangered Egyptian vulture depends on pre-migratory gatherings to share safe routes. With so few elders in the Balkans, juveniles often fly straight over the sea & perish there.

Beautiful community project! A 500-year-old fallen oak is being crafted into a table in the forest that can seat 60. Sounds quite magical, elfin throne and all!
