Oh and those banana barriers, while funny, suck. Half assed design that causes cars to back up in the intersection and if you’re on a bike, you’re stuck out in the intersection waiting for them to sort it out.

Vancouver’s pulled out it’s bike lane around Stanley park. They’ve removed part of the bike lane along English bay and and terminating it with a jersey barrier that forces you into oncoming traffic. And are planning to remove the rest of it in their latest planning proposal.
