Project Running all the Trails of the Santa Monica Mountains: Leo Carillo, Malibu CA.
I was not sure the start of the course was open, but it worked fine. Most of what I had planned was on well maintained trail, but I spent a lot of energy jumping over bushes on the Fire Break Road on the West side.

Project Running all the Trails of the Santa Monica Mountains: Leo Carillo, Malibu CA.
I was not sure the start of the course was open, but it worked fine. Most of what I had planned was on well maintained trail, but I spent a lot of energy jumping over bushes on the Fire Break Road on the West side.

Project Running all the Trails of the Santa Monica Mountains: Carbon Canyon and a little piece of Zuma Ridge Motorway.
Zuma Ridge from the Buzzards Roost Trailhead was amazing. I had a 2 mile section left to explore on Zuma Ridge since I had to turn around 3 1/2 years ago when I ran out of water.

Started my long weekly run in just 37 degrees which is pretty low for the area. After 3.5 miles I joined my old buddy James with a group of his friends for a 9 mile loop in Wildwood Regional Park. Got to discover some nice rocky trails and Paradise Falls which I forgot was on my bucket list.
