Well done.

It’s like in infomercials when ppl get caught in the blinds.

In the US, your net worth/economic position in life is hugely based on zip code, so the accident of birth determines much of success.

Yet another reason individual actions can only do so much against systemic problems.

We can’t just hope to thrive by playing along. Gotta try to change the system

I’m a teacher and I’m not in it to prepare kids to work in the economy.

Education is about learning how to think, how to solve problems, how to consider new information and incorporate into existing info, how to grow.

It’s not job training for capitalism.

Education does not exist to prepare you for capitalism and to function in the economy.

In fact, as a teacher, I’m not even of the opinion that the content is the most important part.

I teach content to solve a particular problem. Students may forget my content but the analytical skills endure.

Does everyone just stream-of-consciousness post? Just turn the mic on and let the words fall out as voice-to text?

I genuinely had to read that several times and still have little idea what they are saying beyond the AfD are…left wing?

Fantastic! I do a lot of inscriptions with my high school Latin students, but I’m quite the amateur at so many of the abbreviations, reasons that letters look the way they look (why is “e” two vertical lines?!) and, well, really all of it.

“Leaking through”

As if it’s accidental and not an intentional framing; as if you aren’t explicit.

Plus…I get that different ppl will have different opinions on those throughout history. But, why oh why are so many so enthused by Sulla. Surely we can all disavow freaking Sulla.

There was a thread long ago on Twitter with a collection of so many graphs with Reagan’s head at his inauguration showing when things changed and it was absolute perfection.

I don’t have it anymore unfortunately but I think it was by @wardqnormal.bsky.social

I’d like to see them respond with “we’ll give you a second to read it” and wait.

I came downstairs one night at like 8 years old and watched the second half of this with my dad. Got me to read the book.

And nearly three decades later it’s my favorite book series ever and I love this movie, this amazing mess of a movie—that I love—for introducing it to me.

I’m about out of shelf space so that may have helped break me of the addiction.

But we shall see.

Samesies!

Currently rearranging the shelves to get ready for it and almost to season 2!

I actually got the chocolate stand earlier in the month, so I'm not too upset, but the shuttlepod was my main concern.

Grats on getting them!

I just started a Catullus unit with my level 3s! This looks great!

Ships by February, wow.

Lego has been marketing this a bit, I’m surprised they had so little stock.
November 28, 2025 at 2:27 PM
Same, though that meant it didn’t give me the chocolate stand or castle gifts, just the shuttle pod (which I’m fine with).
November 28, 2025 at 12:50 PM
Oh my, I enjoy this.
November 28, 2025 at 1:51 AM
Congrats!

I hope it’s as smooth for me later.
November 28, 2025 at 1:46 AM
I’m so impatient for midnight to to get here!

Are you in Europe?

In my head it was “you-ess-ians” but I like yours so much better.
